The Brazilian Butt Lift by lipostructure
With age in thin people, the buttocks tend to lose volume and ptosis. This fat loss is partly responsible for sagging skin. Lipostructure (or autologous fat injection) is a transplant of adipose tissue. It aims to restore the volumes and shapes of the upper part of the buttocks with a Brazilian lifting effect in order to restore their youthful fullness.
The intervention
The aim of the procedure is to inject fat into an area where it is lacking after having taken it from where it is in excess.
The fatty tissue is removed by liposuction in a gentle and atraumatic manner. After centrifugation, the cellular part of the fat removed is reinjected as a coating using micro-cannulas through puncture-shaped skin incisions. The anesthesia used is usually local combined with intravenous sedation. The operation is most of the time performed on an outpatient basis, with a discharge the same day.
The initial consultation
The initial consultation is an opportunity to examine your figure, discuss your motivations and explain the expected results.
It makes it possible to search for pathologies which may contraindicate the technique (allergy to anesthesia products) or the history which may require rules of caution (cold sores, smoking).
Complications
Any surgery, even minor, carries risks. These complications are extremely rare and usually minor in this case. The risk of infection or reaction to anesthesia cannot be ruled out.
Before the intervention
It is imperative to stop smoking at least two months before surgery, as tobacco is a factor in fat cell transplant failure. Aspirin is prohibited 10 days before surgery. Before surgery, it is necessary to wash with antiseptic soap. On the day of surgery, you must allow enough time to arrive on time without excessive stress. It is important to arrange for someone to drive you home after your hospitalization and who may be able to help you in the first few days following your surgery.
Operative suite
The postoperative effects are generally not very painful. On the other hand, edema is often very important and generally takes between 10 and 15 days to disappear. Bruises are visible for one to three weeks. Resumption of professional activity is possible after one week and sporting activity after 6 weeks. There is a slow absorption of fat which stabilizes around the 6th month. It is on this date that we can assess the final result.
Important information
This text provides basic information on the principles and procedure of lipostructure. A more detailed information sheet will be given to you during your consultation. A good understanding of the process and the expected result is essential before considering this intervention. It should be emphasized that the goal of this surgery is to bring improvement and not to achieve perfection. If your wishes are realistic, you will be satisfied with the result.
