Penis enlargement by autologous fat
Virility and sex are important topics for a man. A penis with a small volume can cause significant discomfort in everyday life. The penis is covered with a skin covering called the penile sheath. The purpose of this intervention by your Aesthetic Surgeon in Marseille is to perform a fatty tissue graft under the penile sheath.
The fat is generally taken from the belly by liposuction.
Advantage of this approach: the fat comes from the patient himself and no foreign substance is used. It therefore allows to enlarge the penis in a natural way.
This phalloplasty can in some cases be combined with penis lengthening surgery. It may require several sessions to achieve the desired result. It allows to obtain an increase from 20% to 30% of the initial circumference. The results require a period of 5 months to be definitive, after integration of the fat graft and disappearance of the edema.
Important: after the operation, once the results have stabilized, the patient finds sexual intercourse without any discomfort, with the same sensitivity of the penis which completely regains its natural appearance.
Do you need to increase your penis girth?
The usefulness of this intervention is based more on ?perceived volume? of the male gender rather than on objective measures. This means that for some patients, even if they are in the statistical average, it may be beneficial to proceed with penile thickening if it solves their physical and psychological concerns, allowing them to regain better self-confidence.
It therefore concerns any man dissatisfied with the dimensions of his penis, at rest or erect, whether in length or diameter.
There is no age limit, this operation can be performed by mature men as well as young men who have not yet started their sexual life.
This operation uses the principle of "lipofilling", ie an injection of fatty tissue (or in synonymous terms fat transfer, liposculpture, adipose tissue graft, lipomodelling, injection of autologous fat).
The purpose of the intervention is to perform this injection of fat under the penile sheath after having removed it according to the principle of liposuction in a donor area of the patient (abdomen, hips, thighs or buttocks), through? a small diameter cannula and a syringe. The fatty tissue is removed by liposuction in a gentle and atraumatic way.
After centrifugation, the cellular part of the fat removed is reinjected as a topping using micro-cannulas through punctiform skin incisions at the base of the glans. The anesthesia used is generally complete (general anesthesia). The procedure is usually performed on an outpatient basis, with same-day discharge.
The initial consultation
The initial consultation is an opportunity to examine you, discuss your discomfort and explain the expected results. It makes it possible to search for antecedents that may require rules of caution such as genital herpes or smoking.
Even minor surgery carries risks. These complications are extremely rare and usually minor in this case. The risk of reaction to anesthesia cannot be ruled out. Complications sometimes encountered are infection or hematoma.
In exceptional cases, there may be partial skin necrosis. Edema may persist for several months but is generally self-limiting. In rare cases, calcified nodules may be found which may require surgical excision.
It is imperative to stop smoking at least two months before the surgery, tobacco being a factor in the failure of fat grafting. Taking aspirin is prohibited 10 days before the intervention. Before the surgical act, it is necessary to wash with an antiseptic soap.
On the day of the operation, allow enough time to arrive at the scheduled time, without excessive stress. It is important to provide someone who can accompany you home after your hospitalization.
The postoperative course is generally painless
- Significant edema may appear and generally takes 10 to 15 days to subside.
- Sexual abstinence is imperative for 4 weeks.
- The professional activity, if it is not particularly physical, can be resumed after 24 hours.
- There is a slow resorption of fat which stabilizes around the 4th month. It is on this date that we can evaluate the final result and that you and your Plastic Surgeon could consider a new session or a simple touch-up. The gain in circumference is on average between 2 cm and 2.5 cm.
- Postoperative penile massages can be considered to reduce the risk of occurrence of nodules or consistency irregularities.
- The fat used being autologous (it comes from the patient himself), there is no rejection and the practice of all the usual physical activities and sports can be resumed in complete safety. In the same way, no discomfort will be observed during erections, the penile body being simply enveloped in an additional layer of fat.
In addition to an enlargement penoplasty, it is possible to associate a penile lengthening penoplasty which will enlarge the penis.
These two operations can be grouped together or considered separately.
